-Dead Poets After the "Angels deserve to die tour" the band started to fix more attention to their own songs. The band entered in one of the most important italian recording house: Red House Recordings, supported by two great sound engenier: David Lenci and Andreas Venetis. They recorded an extract of their first album and the band changed name in: Dead Poets The band played in important pubs and stages all across Italy for the second time. DP started to win lots of regional and national musical competition as "Greatest lyrics", and got good reviews by important music magazine."A band so young like they are who can burn important italian stages"(Corriere Adriatico) "Great crossover musicians" (5 Torri) The band entered in the 2004 in the great Era-Zero project family who's gonna go with all across Europe. After a couple of month Era-Zero changed the name in Cimitero Records. They called DeadPoets in their roster and the band played in the right centre of Barcelona (Spain) and in Dresden (Germany). -Alkemist Fanatix joins forces with Swedish popgroup Moonbabies Press Statement: We're pleased to announce the collaboration between the management/promotion agency Alkemist Fanatix Europe and the pop duo Moonbabies. Alkemist Fanatix is based in Italy and mostly known for it's work in the Hardcore/Punk/Metal scene. The agency's tasks will involve counseling and guiding Moonbabies towards the furtherance of their career. Negotiation skills, general legal advice and new partners are only a portion of what Alkemist Fanatix Europe will bring to the table in the band's career. Moonbabies are one of the most promising bands of today, with a big following in north America and Northern Europe due to their critically acclaimed albums June and Novas & The Orange Billboard and a wide spread thankfully to the internet. Their music speaks its own language through a collide between classic and modern pop. Ola Frick of Moonbabies says: "Some months ago Moonbabies started to look outside USA/Scandinavia for licensing or a exclusive label deal with a devo ted label. Around this time we got in touch with Carlo who presented his management/promotion company Alkemist Fanatix, and since we liked his approach and understanding on the business we now officially will work together." The collaboration will start by finding a suitable label/distribution/publishing partner in Europe/Japan for the band. Both parts are thrilled about the newly established collaboration. Check it out, support the magazine! -Milady 's Gloves Milady's gloves started in 2001 spring a acustic duo formed by Dimola Gabriele(vox) and Filippo Baraglia(guitar).During the summer the band evolves in a for members band, composed by and lasts like this untile the end of the summer , when the drummer , for etical problem troubles leaves the band. The sound proposed by the bandwas a kind of metal influenced grunge.With the new drummer Fabrizzio calizzi(hellrage)the sound becomes different,different influences were put in ,emocore and melodic hardcore mixted up with grunge and metalcore. so their journey began. http://www.myspace.com/miladysgloves
-Cries Cries was born one first time in May 2001, when Elsket (voice and guitar) and Dunkelheit (drums) began to play together. But after just one live show Dunkelheit decided to stop playing and Elsket remained alone, bearing on his own songs and seeking new players. Only in December 2002 he finds Roberto, a bassist, whom he starts to rehearsal with, and afterwards he tries some drummers, without finding a proper one. Thus Elsket continues to develop his own music with the support of Roberto, and it’s only in May 2004 that the true Cries band takes form, after finding again Dunkelheit, this time willing to play and to do. In the same period comes the addition of Fabrizio, keyboarder, and this perfect formation had its first live show on the 1 of October, 2004. For the year 2005 were programmed at least 40 live shows, but, unfortunately, on the end of February Fabrizio had to stop playing, and the same destiny has come to Roberto, in April. Failed all the efforts of quick replacing, Cries thus decided to concentrate on two recordings to be done on the ending of the year: one, self-produced, acoustic of 5 tracks, only voice, guitar and violin (played by Stefano, acousticly supporting Cries since February), which probably shall be recorded in October, and containing the video of "where are you ? (acoustic)". The title of this little opus shall be "qvidqve amavisti cras amabis" (which stands for "what/who you loved, tomorrow you will love"); and then our first EP, if someone produce us, to be recorded in November/December, entitled "the beauty of the death", made of 6 tracks. In the meanwhile Cries has found some new bassists and keyboarders, whom with we hope to be back soon on the stage. And now in August, we have started to work with Alkemist Fanatix, a management and promotion agency. www.cries.it
-IN COLD BLOOD It all began in February 2003 when five guys got together in Rome (Yes, that’s Rome, Italy.) with the will of starting a special project. All of them shared rich musical backgrounds stemming from their childhoods, as well as bringing their own personal experiences from previous bands with them into this new project. They started to play hard under the name of Watt69, performing some shows in Rome. In the early 2004 the decision of being involved in an Italian Bands Competition, Emergenza rock. After doing good at the first round, the organizzator suggested them to look for a new singer. After few weeks Zella, the guitarist, and Simone, the fxer, runned into Enrico, who was singing in some hc bands. Watt69 did great in Emergenza Rock, arriving second in the Italian Finals. During the last round a female voice was for the first time on stage: Chiara, who first only gave some help to the guys in the song Prophet of Romance, had become an official member of the band. After these good results the band decided to record a Promo Cd: it was brought to life during December and January 2005, by the magic hands of Giuseppe Orlando at the Outersounds studio. The cd contains two tracks, Prophet of Romance and L.I.E. and it was reviewed by a lot of magazine (demo of the month on RockHard #35 and high score on MetalHammer#6/2005). During the recording session Fulvio, bass, said "why don’t we change the name in In Cold Blood?!": everyone dealed much better with this new name and the band approved it in few days .After being appreciated for their brand new songs in every live they took the decision, suggested also by their management agency, of going back in a studio. The guys tried to record a powerfull garage session with a really low budget and the result was great: the old promo and the new songs are now available in a unique cd, "Echoes of decadence", which is providing to the band a lot of new friends from the whole Italian hc and metal scene. http://www.in coldblood1.com // http://www.myspace.com/incoldblood1
-The Last Winter We are proud to introduce you another amazing and incredible band: THE LAST WINTER from Rome. The Last Winter was born in 1996 by Sisco and Enrico as a black death project; During the years a lot of things changed, new ideas, new songs new friends to play with, so T.L.W. started to develop their changeable personality. Their first work "Ira"(2001)was recorded after the entering of Ivan as drum player. After some times they fortunately lost the 2°guitar and took sK with which they evolved their sound making their music as it has to be: violent and free. Their second work "Dust"(2002) has been an anticipation of "Project: Delay"(2004-2005)but during the work they lost Sisco who left the band to Climb Mountains (it is true). -New offices and LAN/intranet computer Network - Company News Things are going extremely well here at Alkemist Fanatix Europe, and we are investing a lot of money in order enhance our services. The number of partners and bands is growing day by day, and to follow all our projects at the very best we' ve opened 2 new offices. The office 2, is located at the Alkemist HQ in Montale and another office (office 3) is active in Firenze. In addition we have builded our own LAN/intranet computer network. We've already bought 3 new machines and we have expanded our workgroup as now we have 2 more guys working fulltime for Alkemist Fanatix Europe. More partners will be announched soon as now we are working with some other agencies, publishers and distributors. Our own graphic team will remain the same c/o Antisocial Studios in Brescia. -Shirley Temple? Alkemist Fanatix Europe is proud to announce a new band in the roster: Shirley Temple? After some months of talking with the band we have decided to work with ST? and that's what the band stated: "The collaboration, starting in these days, is a reason of pride for Shirley Temple?, since the band is now in the same roster as bands which are important and influent to its very music. In a moment of big activity like this one, in which is important to make the right decision, we are sure by working with Alkemist Fanatix we are taking our work and our music to a higher level." At the same time, Shirley Temple? has to announce that Deejay PurpleHate (or Thuglife as he was known) is not a member of the line-up anymore. The decision of parting ways – took some weeks ago – has come after a series of controversies and divergences on a personal basis. For the last gig – oct 21st at Traffic, Rome – Shirley Temple? was already a quartet made of vy, tylR, joo and :fa:. At the moment it’s n ot sure if and how the band is going to replace its former deejay. At the moment – and also in order to include some new material in the next work – recording sessions have been delayed. As far as now there is not a new date, but anyway the band is oriented to enter the studio in the first half of December. Till then, Shirley Temple? is still working on these new ideas, and going on with the pre-production. "...After only a few weeks of incubation the mollouw project took a definite form in May 2005 and it combines melodic emotion, repressed anger with a sense of absolute solitude which translates into music. The main spark comes from the sounds of the natural ambient that surrounds us (clouds, sunsets, twilight, seas, stars...) simple but very important things for the project. Searching for signs and points of inspiration in human happenings without considering the depth in which nat ure evolves is impossible. Mollouw is based on two meanings: The abandon (00:56am) and solitude that follows ( Kautokeino desperation),Therefore the best thing to do is making everything tangible by mixing existence with music and nature. Finding yourself alone on a beach or in the middle of a field in the country side and just being sat in silence observing how beautiful and comfortable can nature be but at the same time it can induce a sense of solitude and desolation in the human spirit in which there's no other escape but desperation.(the suicide division). The choice of the cantato "gibberish" is linked with one simple reason: Certain "extreme" situations are totally impossible to describe with words therefore vague complaints full of melancholy are introduced, which are very similar to echoes coming from a past that is now being cancelled and remote. (.... 00:56 which once was but now doesn’t exist anymore being cancelled by progress …cancelled by time) Guitars keyboard s delays combined with sweet minimal melodies are simply trying to give voice to all of this. The mollouw project hasn’t got anything to give or to reveal but it only confirms how fragile the human spirit can be, but at the same time devastating even in his tiny form.
